Philly Trip & Pine Hill S.R.

Sixteen scouts, along with four leaders, got their fill of history & cheese steaks this past weekend on our camping trip to Philadelphia.  There was alot of hiking around the center city/olde town area.  And we took both the high speed PATCO train as well as the Market Frankfort subway train.

We ate lunch at Campo's near the Franklin Court area - great cheese steaks.  They had a sign out front saying "scout groups welcome" and it was a great choice because their food is awesome!  We stayed in a cabin with wood burning stove over at Pine Hill Scout Reservation in New Jersey.

Some of the stuff we saw in the city:  the LOVE statue, the Comcast building, City Hall, a run up the steps at the Art Museum, the Rocky statue, a tour of the Mutter Museum (creepy medical oddities!), Ben Franklin's burial place, Independence Hall, and the National Portrait Gallery at Independence Mall.  To view the complete photos from the weekend, check out this link.
